Beginnings

*wandering in and looking around*

You know, I think we just might like this place... clean, neat, easy-to-use...

Interesting title, I hope... warrants some explanation to those just now seeing it, I know...

*Clearing throat*

Ok, well here goes... hope you don't get bored...but if you came this far, you must be looking for something to do at this time of night, hmmm?

I live in upstate South Carolina with my 11 year old son. We both love going out and exploring different places to eat, and inevitably we end up talking about the food and if other people would like it and whatnot...

Now... BEfore you get started... I can hear some now... an 11 year old eats different foods and has an honest opinion? He eats more than cheeseburgers?

Answers: yes, and surprisingly.... YES!

This is one child that I am quite proud to say has a very sophisticated palate...and I do mean sophisticated...he's been cracking his own crablegs since he was 5 (yes, 5!), he eats steamed oysters, calamari, and if you ask him what his favorite food is... he'll say sushi.... Now does that mean he doesn't eat the normal things an 11 year old does? Not by a long shot. The boy can wolf down more double (yes, I did just type double) cheesburgers than Wimpy from the Popeye cartoon, but he likes to try out new things too... and to be honest, this blog was his idea, something for us to do together to let others know not only what we thought about the place, but a way to let kids and parents know what types of places and what types of food both sides of the fence might like.

(and no, he is not up at midnight lol.... he's asleep... this will be a nice surprise for him when we get home tomorrow)

*holding a finger up* shhhhhh don't tell him...

Sorry the reviews won't be for anywhere but this area to start off with... school is in after all... but hopefully as we travel, we'll tell about places we went to on our travels.... and who knows... if we can keep someone from making a mistake about a place (good OR bad), then perhaps this little social experiment was a good thing after all...

Oh! And by the by.... if you have any suggestions for us to try...give us a comment and we'll compare notes ;-)

I'll explain more about this little adventure when I have more time... and I'm not falling asleep...

At any rate.....

Get ready....

Get set....
